No. China Local Desk provides preliminary desktop reviews and coordination notes, not formal audits, certification, legal advice, or guaranteed supplier safety.

How can overseas buyers start?

Buyers can submit a supplier or product link for an initial scope review. Paid work can continue through Upwork Project Catalog or another eligible Upwork contract type after scope is clear.

What this site collects

When you submit the request form, this site sends and stores the request details needed to review scope. This may include your name, company, email address, selected service type, supplier or product links, task details, deadline, and preferred cooperation route.

When information is received

Information is received when you submit the website form or send details by email, Upwork message, or another communication channel. Website form submissions are used as inquiry records so China Local Desk can review the request and respond.

How information is used

Information you send is used to understand your requested scope, prepare a quote, communicate with you, and deliver the agreed work. Supplier or product details are not sold.

Sharing and local coordination

Information will not be shared with local service providers or third parties without the client's prior approval, except where necessary to perform the agreed task.

AI processing

Request details may be reviewed with AI tools to summarize the inquiry, translate between English and Chinese, or draft a response. Any final client-facing message or paid-scope decision is reviewed by the operator before use.

What not to send

Do not send passwords, payment card details, private account credentials, unreleased formulas, or highly sensitive trade secrets through this site. Send only the information needed to evaluate the task.

Deletion requests

You can request deletion of information you sent by emailing hello@chinalocaldesk.com or replying through the same channel used for the inquiry. Upwork messages and contracts are also subject to Upwork's own retention and platform rules.
